Abstract

In this study, ligaments of the knee joint were examined by using strain gauges. After attaching the strain gauges, the knees were forced into various directions. Strains were observed by of amplifier and the following results were obtained. MCL (Medical Collateral Ligament) was strained in valgus and extension, LCL (Lateral Collateral Ligament) was strained in various position of the knee. ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) was strained when the tibia was pulled to anterior and was forced to varus. PCL was strained when the tibia was pushed to posterior and in varus-valgus and also in extension.
