Abstract

52 cases of femoral intertrochanteric fractures which were treated surgically at the Orthopedics and Traumatology Clinic of Cumhuriyet University Medical Faculty, from January 1985 to December 1990 were evaluated according to treatment methods and results. 76.92 percent of the cases which were documented by clinical, anatomical and radiographic measurements used in our clinic were satisfactory. Consequently, it is concluded that more accurate results can be obtained when the results of surgical management of femoral trochanteric fractures are evaluated by detailed parameters.
