Wire Osteosynthesis and Our Clinical Applications

Abstract
Wire osteosynthesis is a common expression of tension band wiring and its modifications. This technique were used in 69 cases in Ankara Hospital of Ministry of Health, between 1990-1992. The tension band wiring was found to be effective because it allow early mobilization and requires minimal internal fixation materials. Wire breakage and migration of the Kirscher wires among the complications which were detected during the implant removal.
